Did you notice the day of the announcement?

Try a normal nightly build -- a HUGE number of upgrades/improvements
compared to 0.7.2

Hi.

The menues are garbled unintelligibly in the download of VLC 0.8.1337, Win
32 zip (English USA).

The problem is the font file, FreeSans.ttf, which comes with the release.

Workaround: Delete this file and replace it with any Windows ttf file, for
example, arial.ttf, renaming the file to FreeSans.ttf.

I hope the jerky playing (DVD with menues in Win 2k) has been fixed;
otherwise, I'm still staying with VLC 7.2, which is OK.
