[vlc] Re: Quicktime h264

Sorry about the confusion, I wrote that on my cell and it came out  
wrong.

I mainly use VLC for encoding of H.264 using x264 and QT plays it  
back just fine. For encoding it turned out to be faster on my  
Powerbook then Apple's encoder with the same quality (visual  
observation). I can't pull off even low quality real time encodes  
using Apple's encoder but x264 can do it with acceptable quality.

I have Apple encoded H.264 QT files which play back fine in VLC and  
given that Apple's H.264 support doesn't cover a number of  features  
off the top of my head I don't see any real areas of incompatibility.
