[vlc] AVC plugin

Hi all,
 From the feature page of the VLC, it seems that AVC (MPEG-4 part 10) 
video is not supported by VLC ?
Do you have any kind of document to introduce the way how to implement a 
new codec into VLC project. Go directly to the source code of VLC and 
fingure it out by myself, it would be a time-comsuming stuff :-)
