[vlc] [python vlc] How integrate vlc in other application with python/wxpython

Hi all,
I would like to integrate vlc inside an application that I'll write with 
python/wxpython (for Linux)

Anyone has tried this work ?

my question is: how integrate vlc with wxpython ?

I saw the project python-vlc related to advene project

Is this a good way (robust and flexible) for my purpose ?

Or should I use exec python family functions  group ?

All advices are welcome
