Hello all,

I'd like to stream MPEG4/H264 (or any low bit rate video) from VLC as
server to VLC as client using unicast or multicast on a local
network.
I did it for MPEG2 and it looks that only TS muxer is allowed. Does it
mean that TS packets are encapsulated into IP/UDP/RTP,
leading to a MPEG over IP solution ?

To reduce throuput, I'd like to transmit MPEG4/H264 instead of MPEG2.
1) Is it possible, even using MPEG-TS over IP ? (TS packets containing
MPEG4)
2) Is it possible by directly encapsulate MPEG4 into IP/UDP/RTP payload
(ie, no TS over IP)

Of course, the best would be to do step 2)

Would you please give me the exact procedure with the VLC GUI if 1) or
2) are possible.

Thank you
