[vlc] Curious about VLC legal encounters

Hi Videolan folks,

First of all, amazing job on the project, and thanks for all your
work.  I'm writing because I'm surveying different options for
embedded video players and I was wondering if you'd had any legal
encounters with VLC, specifically around patent issues.

Also, where can I find a list of all supported codecs for the U.S. version?
