Launch vlc with:
Vlc -vvv --extraintf logger

That will open up a separate log window.
You can then do a File -- Open Disc, start the movie, advance it to just
before where the problem occurs, see what is logged when it stops playing.

Subject: [vlc] Sudden problem when playing 'Labyrinth' DVD with vlc 0.8.1

Hi,

I just discovered a repeatable problem when playing the DVD 'Labyrinth'
with vlc 0.8.1. vlc always stops playing at location 1:03:32, closes the
video area and returns to only the minimal window.

If I skip beyond that location it plays on. There's no output in the console
or messages window. Is there some way I can increase debugging output to
help debug this problem ?

It happens without subtitles (so it's not a subtitle decoding problem).
It also happens with xine at the same position in the movie (although the
offset there is 1:14) and it also happens in mplayer at the same position
(again with another offset 1:15:14).

So it may be a decoding bug. I'm not a programmer, so any information to how
to provide proper debugging info to resolve this problem is welcome.

Kind regards,
