[vlc] transcode problem

Hello,
I'm new to videolan, but after some weeks after test
it seems a rather good multimedia player that can be
integrated in open source projects.
At the moment, I'm a bit frustrating with trascoding;
what I really want is to trancode a ts file (pr1.ts)
into another ts file (pr4) with lower bitrate. The
usage is the following (using vlc 0.8.1 in Debian)
vlc -vvv pr1.ts --sout
'#transcode{vcodec=mp4v,vb=800}:standard{access=file,mux=ts,url=pr4.ts}'
Here are my problems:
- There seems to be a problem, the message is rather
large, but a continuous remark appears: "trying to
send non-dated packet to stream output". The file is
create, but of large 0 KBs. Any ideas?
- I've tested with various commands, but
unsuccessfully. Surprisingly, I have tested with
another ts (downloaded through Internet) file and it
has worked. My first ts file (the one that doesn't
work) is a saved file from a vlc stream (cut after a
minute). Must the ts file has a special feature to be
able to be transcoded?
Thanks in advance,
ikyben
