There's no need to be rude and i'd been polite would help.
If you are not aware,in Free softaware project, one of the good thing is
that users and developers form a community.

About the virus problem: There are no virus problem ( see a post in the
forum by markfm for a full explanation). And, if you think there are a
virus, just don't use VLC.

For the ML, if you are on it's because you subscribed some day. So go to
the same page and help yourself.
