[vlc] blue screen

Hi everyone,
yesterday I had a problem with vlc. I launched vlc in order to show a stream
video and it was ok, than I stopped and restarted it several times without
problems until it shown a blue screen and I wasn't able to visualize the output
fine without restart the system. Before rebooting I try if the streaming was 
good, and it was because from another workstation I was able to show it. I try
to stream 16:9 and 4:3 stream and the blue area was in the field of the video.
It seemed it was able to render frames.
Ay idea what appened? There is a solution to obtain the right behaviour of vlc
without rebooting the system?
