Hi!
I strugg'e for distribution in Bulgaria of Amino products since 6 months...
may be they are away for a conference very often... I don't know.
For sure I can tell you that there are a lot of STBs supporting every f~n
CoDec ever... BUT:
It's very, Very, VERY complicated when you want to import those in your
country and I read some tests for those 'having every f. c.' and the quality
was indecently low. That's why me and my boss both decided to work with
Amino and to try to lower the MPEG2 size. It's decent to 1,8Mbps. Then (in
3-4 months) I saw on the amino site aminet120 with WMV9. May be it's '(ugh
wm9!)' but at 1Mbps is perfect and it's a kind of MPEG4. Ofcourse at
Aminocom will give me an answer for the price and etc. in 6 months but I
still have some hope that I can sell STBs in Bulgaria.
AND after everything that I wrote, Paul, you say that you have aminet130 and
it has MPEG4 !hardware! support??!!!???!!!!???!!!
AND PLEASE, PLS, pls, Paul: Why are not your co-workers like you: to answer
to the e-mails in a day. I'm sorry for writing here such a complainings but
where. My mails are answered may be in 10-20 days (if they are). With who to
speak/write in Aminocom for help obout such a problem?
Thank you Paul and again:excuse me for writing here but I do not have any
alternative.
And (again 'thew), when the bandwith is not 5-8 Mb but s.th like 1-3 Mb like
in Bulgaria you do not have any choice for the codec.
Greetings from Sofia,
Dani.
