[vlc] Running vlc on a Sharp Zaurus PDA [arm-linux]

I'm trying to compile and run VLC on my Sharp Zaurus 6000SL PDA, but I 
get a seg-fault while running.

I configure as shown below. I have the arm-linux-(gcc, g++, ld, etc) 
tools in my PATH. The --with-ffmpeg-tree, --with-dvbpsi-tree, 
--with-sdl-prefix, etc contain the corresponding libraries compiled for 
arm-linux. I used /opt/Qtopia/sharp as the --with-qte path because I was 
not able to get it done with /opt/qt-embedded-2.3.7 (qt.h not found).
The compilation goes on all fine (I had to remove some libjpeg.h) and I 
get the ARM vlc. But when I run it on the pda, the last few lines after 
which I get a seg-fault are:

main module debug: using demux module "ps"
main input debug: looking for a subtitle file in 
Documents/Image_Files/ 				( which is the path to the file to be played)
packetizer_mpegvideo packetizer debug: Size 320x240 fps=25.000
Segmentation Fault


My configuration is:

Any ideas/suggestions? Has someone used vlc with qt-embedded? Where does 
opie fit in? My PDA desktop is Qtopia; for Opie, does that need to be 
replaced?
