[vlc] save video in VLC format possible

Hello,

Sorry to resend the same mail but the first time I forgot to mention it in
th subject box.

I just became a member of this list and I have a very basic question: Is it
possible to save a video in a sort of VLC format document so we could edit
this video?
Macintosh G5/1.8, 1.25 GB RAM, MacOS 10.3.9.
