[vlc] please help with VLC

[JIE XIONG]

i am using linux FC3
and just use synaptic to install the vlc

but now i can only play audio file but not vedio file..
once i play vedio, the following error comes

[root at localhost var]# vlc

[root at localhost var]# vlc /root/Desktop/ice_age_240x136.mpeg
VLC media player 0.8.1 Janus
Segmentation fault
