Hi James,

delete your preferences (both the vlc-folder and  
org.videolan.vlc.plist in ~/Library/Preferences) and try again. VLC  
0.8.2 does not understand the old prefs, so the reason for your  
problems is probably there.

BTW. Please do not write to admin at videolan, but to vlc at videolan. Thanks.
