[vlc] how to reduce the lag of the stream

Hi all,
I'm using vlc with the ptz patch on a Axis 2130R camera but there is a
problem. The stream (MJPG) has 3 seconds lag if it's viewed from vlc
instead of the web interface directly in the camera. I would like to
know how I can reduce this lag or where I need to search on the code.
