On Fedore core 3... I run
#vlc -I telnet
Then telnet login and:
> new abc broadcast enabled
> setup abc loop
> setup abc input somefile.mpg

show
media
abc
type : broadcast
enabled : yes
instances
default : playing
I get pop that plays the video once. Then windows closes and no more
playback. After this:
> show
show
media
abc
type : broadcast
enabled : yes
instances
default : stopped
It stays this way till I do control abc stop.
