If you want it to display locally, rather than inserting it in something
being transcoded, add:
--sub-filter marq

For instance:
Vlc c:\temp\mymovie.asf --sub-filter marq --marq-marquee "hello world"

Hello!
I am trying to let a text scroll in my video window like this:
  vlc --noaudio --marq-marquee "test" test.mpeg

I have already tried it with the X and Y offset, but nothing apears.
Am i doing anything wrong?

Has someone got an example for me?
