We'd sure be glad to have a Canadian mirror :p The mirroring process is
simple enough. We ask that mirrors mirror the whole videolan archive (which
is 4.9 GB big as i write this email). When this is done, you will be
added to the mirrors lists :)

The best way to do the actual mirroring is to use this rsync command
(you should run it daily to make sure that you're uptodate) :
rsync -avz anonymous at krishna.via.ecp.fr::videolan-ftp /your_mirror_dir

(if Canada has some laws like the DMCA in the USA you should maybe
consider not mirroring videolan since some of the ideas/codecs used are
covered by software patents -- at least in the USA)
