I'm pretty shure no old VLC is present, I cleaned out the /usr/lib/vlc folder manually. I discoverd that the errors even occur on a brand new installation of Debian stable (sarge) and with an apt-get of the default packages. Could it be the 'old' kernel 2.6.8-2 ??
On the versioning number, should I change the version number in the makefile to correspond to the 0_8_4 version (or change it to 0_8_5)?
