[vlc] problem on vlc's stability?

hi,

    I run vlc-0.8.4-test2.exe on my windows 2003 server.

such as ,vlc rtsp://192.168.20.66 .

I found the vlc came into a confusion state , the UI tell me it is
playing , but not any video was updated on the client rect.

if I press stop then play all are good. 

so I want to know what's the problem , and it seemed  that the vlc has
some "bugs" on it's stability.
