[vlc] Can't compile wx gui

Hi,
I tried to compile a fresh svn checkout of vlc with a lot of different 
versions of wxWindows
(including the cvs checkout linked in vlc's page), but with every 
version I get a lot of compiler
errors due to the fact that to ->wc_str() always wants a parameter.

If needed I can post the full log.

What version of wxWindows do developers use?
