Well, that should be no problem if you only get the message once, or a
few times...

Can you try with

vlc \
  v4l:/dev/video0:norm=pal:size=cif:channel=0:adev=/dev/audio2:audio=1 \
  --ttl 1 \
  --intf dummy \
  --sout \
  '#transcode{vcodec=mp4v,acodec=mpga,vb=800,ab=128,deinterlace}:display'

(it should display the video on the server)
