[vlc] Re: external VLC player for MPEG-2

The best you can do is adding an Application handler Line in your 
httpd.conf if ou have write access to it.
this line should look like this :
         AddType application/x-vlc .mpeg
this line should tell the browser to handle .mpeg files as vlc playable 
file, but doesn't force the user to use it.
