[vlc] Using close() macro

Hello,
How can i use the close() macro control ? and is it functional ?
In the doc it says : "close id (hexa) Ferme une connection spécifique" , 
what is exactly the id(hexa) parameter ? how can i have those id for each 
IP connected to the VLC stream ?
