AFAIK, a DVD player would have it¹s signal locked via Macrvision to prevent
casual copying.
My set-up at home has DVDPlayer to Black Box then to Canopus ADVC-100 then
to FW to Mac.
The Black Box is an Analog /Macrovision buster, and it works fine. Without
it in the loop,
I get the green  screen with Horizontal lines in the playback.

Yes I meant DVD Player that is what I have connected to the TV converter,but
I am having such hard time trying to get it to work I get the screen but
just blank is either black or it gets green with Horizontal lines
  
and I can see the error messages saying
  
Main warning:   Late Picture Skipped.
  
Main warning:   Late Picture Skipped
Main warning:   Late Picture Skipped
  
Main warning:   Late Picture Skipped

See if any one knows what I have to do to get this going.
