[vlc] Unaligned audio

My VOD system curretnly send MP2 audio in un-aligned mode.  It is my
understanding an update will allow me to change that to aligned audio
mode.  

At this time if I look at the stream in VLC I get video, no audio.
Anyone know if VLC can play MP2 audio in un-aligned mode?
