[vlc] outsource vlc fix

Calling all devs,
Not entirely sure if I'm abusing the system here but I'm sure I'll be
told if I am.
I'm trying to view my DirectShow Source Filter in VLC. The trouble is
that the mediasubtype of the output pin of my filter is DIVX fourcc and
from what I can see in the VLC source code (filter.cpp and dshow.cpp),
VLC is not willing to negotiate this mediasubtype. I can't think of any
reason why this is not supported, my guess is simply that this part of
VLC has been neglected for a while. My intention was to update the
GetFourCCFromMediaType function to allow for the DIVX fourcc. This may
or may not fix the problem.
Having read the instructions on building VLC and already spent a few
hours on it, I realise I could spend a couple of days actually setting
up my machine just to build VLC and it would be far more cost effective
to have someone else who is already set up to do the work for me. If
anyone is interested (preferably with an insight into the problem)
please post a message to the topic "The VideoLAN Forums Forum Index
<http://forum.videolan.org/index.php> -> VLC media player for Windows
<http://forum.videolan.org/viewforum.php?f=14> -> DirectShow Source
Filter with MPEG4 Output Pin Crashes VLC" and hopefully we can negotiate
a solution.
