[vlc] Question on MP4S

I downloaded 2-5 faad and compiled. I edited libfaad.so and NeAACDecDecode
is in the file.

My configure faad2 is just:
./configure --with-mp4v2

I recompiled vlc from scratch and I still get the undefined symbol.

How can I find out further what is going on with this module?
