[vlc] Wrong aspect ratio on HD-5 channel?

Hi all,

  recently our users have noticed a strange window size when trying to
watch HD-5 channel:

main debug: window size: 1963x1080
main debug: picture in 1440x1080 (0,0,1440x1080), chroma I420, ar 130909:72000, sar 15:11
main debug: picture user 1440x1080 (0,0,1440x1080), chroma I420, ar 130909:72000, sar 15:11
main debug: picture out 1440x1080 (0,0,1440x1080), chroma I420, ar 130909:72000, sar 15:11

  Is HD-5 known to incorrectly fill aspect ratio parameters into their h.264
streams or are we hitting some ffmpeg/vlc bug?
