The VideoLAN project's goal is not making money with VLC, but giving
other users a piece of good software FOR FREE. We do not make any money.
Users *CAN* donate money, but they needn't. In fact, even giving servers
for downloads is a help for the project and so on.

Most of the developer are writing on VLC in their freetime.

We do not want to make any money with VLC. Get down from that "Windows
way of thinking" (a.k.a. good software has to cost a lot.)
