[vlc] The vido runs but can't see the picture

Hello,
 
I have the VLC media player ver. 0.8.6a (wxWidgets interface) on my
computer (WindowsXP).
When I play files, the sound comes but I can't see the picture.
Please tell me how I can fix this problem.
