[vlc] VLC and AMR

I have build VLC for AMR support in cygwin. But when I use it

./vlc test.amr

It simply hangs and not able to run the amr file.

It can however play test.mp3 successfully.

I went back and checkup with ffmpeg library in formats,

It shows AMR_NB and AMR_WB support.

In ffmpeg I am able to convert amr to mp3 and vice versa.

 

So when ffmpeg is build in a correct way, why it is that VLC is not

Able to play amr file ?
