[vlc] Urgent..Any guidence ..regarding frame dropping

Hi Xperts,

I need some information at the earliest, and it's urgent.

1) I wanted to know, for mpeg 2 after packetization, it gives the control to
ffmpeg.
    Other than these two operation, any intermediate action takes place ?
What's the purpose of packetization ?
2) Why does VLC drop frame ? What its purpose ? How that can be avoided ?
Which part of the code do i need to change ?

I would be greatly thankful, if anybody in this big wide group comes up with
answer's......
