[vlc] drag&drop DVDs in MacOSX

I just installed 0.9.6 in a Mac OS X machine dedicated to watching DVDs,
and noticed that the same old problem I've had with the old version
I was using is still present: dragging the DVD icon and dropping it onto
the VLC icon (in the dock) doesn't do anything (it seems that the action
is refused: there's a bit of animation bringing the DVD icon back to its
original place).

Maybe related: I can ask OSX to start VLC when a DVD is inserted, but
VLC doesn't do anything with it: it just starts up and sits there,
waiting for me to do "File -> Open disc" ...

PS: By the way, for macsox people: is there some way to associate an
application with "directories containing VIDEO_TS" rather than with
a specific extension?
