Hi,
First of all, I wish to thank you all for the work you keep doing
for VLC.
I think you know that it is widely used by the French ISP Free
for its ADSL TV offer on Freebox. However, there is a technical
problem with the Livebox of the French ISP Orange: the video
output is not well decoded in current releases of VLC.
I am sad to see lot of bad press about VLC on forums because
of that: unable to correctly decode the flow, a buggy 0.9
version which deals with it better, slow, etc.
In fact, they advise people to use FripTV because it knows
how to quickly and reliably decode the video:
http://friptv.sourceforge.net/
But well, it would be great if VLC could do that too:
PAFF interlacing of h264 with FEC (Forward Error Correction).
That is only a feedback I give in this mail. Just to let you
know that this feature would be awesome :)
Regards,
