[vlc] Enquiry about VLC

Dear VLC Team,
 
I have a small office spread over three rooms and one store with computers in each location and all of them are in same network. I wanted to capture the voice of each staff sitting on the location with the help of microphones. My freind suggested me to use VLC. So I went through the documentation on wiki.videolan.org but I found it too lengthy to understand.
 
I just wanted to know if VLC can serve the purpose or not and if yes then how. Kindly help.
