[vlc] How to reduce VLC's size?

to do not build static:-
i use --disable-static in vlc configuration command but it does not do any reduce to the vlc executable size
 
for optimized size:-
i use --enable-optimization in vlc configuration command but it does not do any reduce to the vlc executable size
----------------------------any help is highly appreciated

Don't build static, as Rémi said already, then try doing build optimizing for size, omit debug symbols, and (again, as Rémi said) strip the results.
