[vlc] Question about ibdvbpsi error (PMT decoder)

I'm attempting to do some work with an MPEG-2 multicast (MPTS) from a
satellite receiver. The MPTS contains 8 programs, and is about 55 Mbps.

The computer is an Apple Mac Pro with dual 3.0 GHz quad core Xeon chips
and a Myricom 10 Gbps Ethernet interface. We are using VLC version
0.9.5, and running Apple OS X 10.5.5.

VLC is able to display the 4 programs for which the receiver is
authorized. The question is about the log messages like these:

10/31/08 11:20:27 AM [0x0-0x1fb1fb].org.videolan.vlc[8468] libdvbpsi
error (PMT decoder): invalid section (table_id == 0x41)

There are several possible causes for these messages:

1. I have a VLC configuration problem.

2. The cpu speed is too slow.

3. There is an error in the MPTS.
If so, how would I discover this?

4. There is a issue with VLC dealing with this MPTS.

I have also tried this on a Wintel box with dual 3.4 GHz Xeons, dual 1
Gbps interfaces, Win XP SP3 and VLC version 0.9.4, and the libdvpsi
messages occur there as well.

Does anyone have any answers or thoughts about how I resolve these
questions?

Thank you very much!

Dave
