Last time I've checked, Linpus was based on Fedora 8.
So you can get vlc from http://rpmfusion.org (it will be 0.8.7 something)
Once that said, Fedora 8 is End-of life. And since linpus doesn't
seems to extend support of F-8 you should better install a newer
Fedora than stay on an unsupported plateform.
