[vlc] Problems with subtitles from DVD

Hi all,

I am using the VLC to watch a DVD for the first time and realised that I am
unable to view the subtitles correctly. I have also tried some other
different movies and the results are the same.

When the movie plays, the subtitles are somewhat shifted to the right side.
(see the attached screenshots for example) Ihave tried various options and
Google'd but still couldn't find any solution.

Can you advice what can be done to fix this problem?
