[vlc] last second cut

Hi,

as I did not find an answer in the forum, here is my question:

When I play a video or audio file with VLC, the very last part (+/- 1 sec.) is always cut off. 

When I play the same files with Windows Media-Player or Quicktime, I get the complete file. 

Why?
