[vlc] Problem with update download

I have frequently received a window upon loading a video using VLC that
states that there is an update available to download, however when I click
the link it gives me another window wanting me to select a directory to load
the update.

 

The problem is I don't know what subdirectory to select in order to download
the update.

 

Please advise where I am to download your update to so I might be able to
actually update your software.
