[vlc] Audio/Video sync probs- used FAQ and it didn't work

Hello,

I just downloaded VLC and hoped it would fix the problem I was having 
with other video players but it hasn't. I am still haveing sync 
problems. In the FAQ, it states that if the audio and video are out of 
sync, try using a different audio output plug-in and it talks about 
Unix.

Unfortunately, I am not an advanced computer user and I don't 
understand the directions.
