[vlc] support needed

Hi

I have a posting on the forum but since someone else has noticed the  
same bug I thought this should be answered by your good selves.

Me and someone else have macbook pros with user accounts migrated from  
old macbooks using time machine.

VLC doesn't work in that account, only in the guest account.

I have tried deleting the prefs files and also resetting the  
preferences but I guess it must be related to some files left over in  
the migrated user account.

Please help!
