[vlc] suggestion for vlc player

If no one has already suggested it, it would be nice if when I fast forward to x8.00 playback (for example) that I could click the play button to immediately go to normal speed playback instead of having to click reverse(slow) button 4-5 times to get it to normal.  Either that or if the fast forward and reverse buttons were next to each other instead of on opposite sides of the screen.  I looked through the preferences but didn't see any options.
