[vlc] Can't transcode in version 1.0

Hi -

I've got a few files, MPEG1 encoded. They play fine in 1.0, but when  
using the transcode option to MPEG4 (video/audio) it fails. It says it  
"can't find the specific codec needed: ______" then just blank.  
However, I downloaded an old version .9.9 and the encode works just  
fine. Mac OS - Intel.
