[vlc] need help in gettng the device to play DVD

For some reason I cannot get the videlan to open the DVD can you help me?

It is a British DVD and may not play on your DVD player.

Can you play it on your computer. If you download the free VLC media player on to your computer you will be able to play it no problem.
