[vlc] VideoLAN Help Please

Hi!

 

I would like to use VLC 1.0.0 to save a video file from the site
http://www.rogerstv.com/option.asp?lid=237
<http://www.rogerstv.com/option.asp?lid=237&rid=70&mid=52&gid=56977#38_120_3
103> &rid=70&mid=52&gid=56977#38_120_3103 to my hard drive.  This site is of
our local TV station where they post videos of local town council meetings.
I just want to save the videos from this site onto my hard drive in case the
site disappears someday.

 

I have spent 2 to 3 hours reading many websites to try to figure out how to
do this and I'm stuck.  When I think I'm following the proper steps, I get
to the following error message:

File reading failed:

VLC could not open the file "iredirect.asp".

Your input can't be opened:

VLC is unable to open the MRL 'iredirect.asp'. Check the log for details.

 

If you could please tell me the proper steps (in detail), I would very much
appreciate it.
