vlc list subscribers,
I am trying to experiment with transcoding to mp4v to see effect on cpu
load. So I tried
/Applications/VLC.app/Contents/MacOS/VLC -I dummy
udp://@233.0.59.100:1234
--sout="#transcode{vcodec=mp4v,deinterlace,threads=8,vb=300,venc=MP4V{keyint=90,ref=6,bpyramid,direct-8x8=-1,me=esa,trellis=2,mixed-refs,partitions=all,direct=auto,8x8dct=}}:std{access=udp{ttl=255},mux=ts,dst=233.0.59.102:1234}"
but I get the error:
no encoder module matched "mp4v"
(This works with h264.) Is mp4v a valid codec? Do I have a syntax error?
